For many members, SwiftMD is the first call they make at the onset of illness or injury. In fact, the majority of routine and non-emergent cases can be safely treated by a SwiftMD physician via phone or videoconference.
SwiftMD does not replace your primary care physician or specialist in the treatment of chronic or serious health conditions, and does not prescribe routine refills for your medications.
Please feel free to contact us with any medical concern or question. However, if you believe you’re experiencing an emergency, call 911 immediately.
When a doctor determines a prescription is indicated, it can be sent to your preferred local pharmacy for convenient pick-up. However, SwiftMD physicians may not prescribe controlled substances, including narcotics, the sleep aids Ambien or Restoril, benzodiazepines, medications prescribed for weight loss, erectile dysfunction, or psychiatric medications (including refills) such as SSRIs, tricyclics, and antipsychotics.
